There have been 44 Presidents since April of 1789 when George Washington was the first to take on this great responsibility. Since then America has had ups and downs. We have been through wars, natural disasters, and great milestones. Through everything the United States have came out stronger and more resilient. Out of the many events and individuals that have shaped this country there is one event that seems to be the most dangerous yet, and that is the election of a President who has seemed to take dead aim at the church and family.
President Obama has paved the way for the decay of the traditional family with his vocal support of gay marriage and his backing of the killing of unborn children. He has stomped on the church with his open mockery of God and a claim that “Whatever we once were we are no longer a Christian nation.”
It is not a partisan, race or gender issue. It is a biblical issue. Proverbs 29:2 says “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked bears rule, the people mourn.” We have seen direct defiance of the scriptures within this President and American’s will feel the devastation. As Christians it is our responsibility to vote for Godly individuals that will stand on biblical principles. We have witnessed firsthand what poorly elected officials can do.
